Media Design School - MFA Program Requirements

To complete your enrollment into the Master of Fine Arts program, you will be required to submit additional materials as part of the admissions review.

These items will be submitted after this application, during the next phase of the admissions enrollment process. These include:

  • Three pieces of original music
  • A  written statement of intent
  • Two academic or professional letters of recommendation

If you are a transfer or graduate student, Strayer University will request transcripts on your behalf from the colleges and universities that you have attended, as noted on this application.

If you are an international student applying for an F-1 (student) visa, once you are accepted at Strayer University, you must also submit the following documentation and fees as determined by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. Transfer students and those applying for change of status to F-1 have additional documentation requirements. More information about these requirements will be provided upon admission.

Depending on the state, my program of choice may only be available in an online-only version or not at all, and all courses within a program will not be available for on-ground delivery at most campus locations. Due to availability, students are required to take at least some (and in certain cases, all) courses in an online format in order to complete a degree program.

  • I understand that Strayer University will request postsecondary transcripts on my behalf from the colleges and/or universities I have attended and listed in this application. I further understand that if any of those institutions require students to request transcripts personally, I will be responsible for promptly requesting my transcript be sent to Strayer. My failure to do so may result in Strayer receiving an incomplete record of my prior academic history and may affect which courses I must complete in my program of choice at Strayer.
